Lots of stuff going on lately, fueled by this shitty economy… needless to say, we at Karma Cooler are truly sorry for the unannounced temporary hiatus. My spirits have been a bit down lately but I will say, that there is one site whose feeds make me smile (other than Hot Chicks with Douchebags), and that is Serendipity Factory’s Happy Discoveries.
When you hit the site, you see exactly what they are all about: “We seek out people in the world who are doing positive or creative things. People who are being true to themselves and living their dreams. This is simply a collection of random happy discoveries.” And I should add, they do it in such a cute and crafty-looking way. Make sure to add them to your feeds or check them out every Wednesday when they post their fix for the mid-week blues, calling it Anti-Woe Wednesday. Some of my vinyl requiem friends might like the munny video that made it there yesterday! Go give Traci and Tammy a shout:

I must say “the unannounced temporary hiatus” is unfortunate. However, in true Karma Cooler spirit, I must say events such as these lead to other opportunities. Hence the saying, when one door closes several others opens. I see it more of when a door closes; you realize the other open doors that have gone unnoticed or unexplored. Perhaps this is one of life’s ways of directing us. So many people spend ten or twenty years of their lives in one place doing one thing and if that works that’s great, I prefer to cover more ground, do many different things, go to many places and meet new people. In closing, I would like quote a wise man.
“Too much credit is given to the end result.
The true lesson is in the struggle that takes place between the dream and reality.
That struggle is a thing called life!”
